Die venezianische Vedute in strenger Linienführung, detailreich und exakt wiedergegeben. Links im Bild der Markusplatz mit Dogenpalast und Markussäule. Nach hinten ziehen die Ufergebäude des Canal Grande. Rechts im Bild die große Kuppelkirche mit anstoßenden Voluten von della Salute. Im Vordergrund zahlreiche Figurenstaffage sowie Gondeln.

Anmerkung:
Der genannte Maler ist bekannt für seine venezianischen Stadtansichten, inspiriert von Canaletto, er war Mitglied der Akademie der Schönen Künste in Venedig.

Expertise:
Beiliegend eine Expertise von Prof. Egidio Martini, in der ein Vergleichswerk aufgeführt wird, das sich im Museo Navale dell’ Arsenale (1823) befindet sowie ein weiteres Werk "La Piazzetta dei Leoncini" im Museo Correr di Venezia.
