Auf einem breiten Weg durch Wiesen und Felder zwei junge Burschen, von einem im Hintergrund liegenden Dorf kommend, in Feierlaune. Einer der Burschen hat leicht springend und jubelnd seinen Strohhut hochgerissen, während der andere singend marschiert und über seiner linken Schulter einen langen Stock mit der französischen Flagge trägt. Belustigt schauen zwei am Wegesrand sitzende Mädchen den beiden Jungen zu, während auf der anderen Wegseite ein kleines Mädchen mit gepflückten Blumen vor einem Kornfeld steht. Malerei mit hohem hellblauen Horizont in meist raschem Pinselduktus. (11920821) (18)
