Laszlo Taubert studierte 1985-1990 an der École des Beaux Arts Budapest bei Jozsef Somoguyi. Bereits 1991 erhielt er mehrere Auszeichnungen, etwa von der Sammlung Ludwig, 1995 den Preis Herrmann-Lipot oder etwa 1996 den Preis des Salon d'Automne, ab 1994 stellt er in zahlreichen Galerien innerhalb Europas aus und schuf auch mehrere Plastiken für den öffentlichen Raum in ungarischen und deutschen Städten. Tauberts Skulpturen orientieren sich motivisch stark an antiken Vorbildern und zeigen immer Torsi, nie vollständige Figuren.
