Sabine Wiedenhofer beschäftigt sich in ihrem Oeuvre überwiegend mit Themen aus der Natur und der Tierwelt. Ab 2009 entsteht die Serie „Cubes“. Die mosaikartig wirkenden „Cubes“ stellen dabei die verschiedenen Facetten des Lebens dar. Basis für diese Arbeiten bilden Fotografien, die Wiedenhofer mit Acrylfarben oder digital überarbeitet, anschließend wird die neue Variante erneut fotografiert und dies bis zur Endfassung wiederholt.

Sabine Wiedenhofer‘s oeuvre concentrates on subjects derived from nature. Since 2009, she has been developing the so-called “Cubes”-series, which she still consequently expands. The mosaic-like “Cubes” depict the various facettes of life. Wiedenhofer‘s works are based on photographs which she re-works with acrylic paint or digitally. Then the artist takes a further photograph, a procedure, which is continued until the final state is reached.
