Der Dargestellte in Dreiviertelfigur an seinem Schreibtisch sitzend. Ein Schriftstück in Händen haltend, blickt er auf den Betrachter. Durch den zurückgezogenen Vorhang am Fenster reflektiert das Licht auf die Tischplatte, wo Schriftstücke, ein Tintenfass und Löscher leuchtende Farbflächen bilden.
Anmerkung:
Dieses ausdrucksstarke Bildnis zwischen Jugendstil und Impressionismus zählt zu den schönsten Portraits des Künstlers aus seiner Meraner Zeit.
