Höhe der Büste: 46 cm.
Gesamthöhe mit Sockel: 59 cm.
Die Büste im klassizistischen Stil gefertigt, das kurze Haar in Empire-Mode zur Stirn gekämmt, Büstenansatz mit leichten Rundungen. Weißer, fein kristalliner Marmor auf anthrazitgrauem, weiß geädertem runden Marmosockel mit hohlkehliger Einziehung. An der Büstenrückseite Monogramm "AT" in Ligatur sowie "F" (Albert = Bertel Thorvalsen, fecit). Herzog Nikolas Demidoff (1773 – 1828) wurde 1824 als russischer Minister an den toskanischen Hof in Florenz entsandt. Gemeinsam mit seinem Sohn wirkte er als großer Gönner der Stadt und galt als bedeutender Sammler und Mäzen. Literatur:
