Niclas Castellos vorliegendes Werk im Stil des Neoexpressionismus gehört zu einer Reihe von Arbeiten, die vorwiegend im Zeitraum zwischen 2012 und 2015 entstanden. Neben dem künstlerischen Einfluss Jean-Michel Basquiats (1960-1988), greifen weitere Gemälde und Skulpturen Castellos, wie etwa „The Kiss“, die Gedankenwelt der Pop Art auf.
Niclas Castello lebt in Los Angeles und Zürich und arbeitet mit renommierten Galerien in Europa wie auch den USA zusammen.
