Auf einem waagerechten Tisch mit gefältelter weißer Tischdecke ein wirkungsreiches Stillleben mit schräg gestellter Wanli-Platte mit daraufliegendem gekochten Hummer, hinter dem sich neben einem Akeleipokal ein Fruchtkorb erhebt.
Anmerkung:
Gut vergleichbar ist ein mit „M. Simons f. 1649“ datiertes Stilleben ebenfalls mit einem Akeleipokal, Wanli-Schale, Früchten und Hummer, das am 22. Juni 2005 bei Christie's, Paris, unter Lot 50 ver-steigert worden ist. (1261911) (3) (13)

This painting is similar to a still life signed “M. Simons f. 1649” which also depicts an Akelei trophy cup, a Wanli bowl, fruit and lobster sold on 22 June 2005 at Christie´s Paris, lot 50.
