Beigegeben Expertise von Fabrizio Magani, das Gemälde dem Künstler zuschreibend, in Kopie.
Malerischer Blick über das ruhige Wasser des Canale Grande auf das Ufer der Stadt mit der Kirche Santa Maria della Pietà. Zahlreiche Figuren und ankernde Gondeln beleben die Uferpromenade; auf dem Wasser sind zudem weitere Gondeln erkennbar. Auf der linken Seite ragt ein großes weißes Segel eines Bootes als Repoussoir ins Bild. Licht fällt auf Teile der Gebäude und setzt gekonnt Licht- und Schattenpartien. Malerei in der typischen Manier des Künstlers unter hohem blauem Himmel mit Wolkenformationen. Rest.
