KITCHEN STILL LIFE WITH BRASS AND COPPER VESSELS AND TWO SERVANTSOil on canvas.
118 x 174 cm.
Unframed.

Accompanied by confirmation letter by Nicola Spinosa regarding the attribution to the artists and dating the painting to the early 1630s in connection with the catalogue raisonné.

The painting is of large landscape format and executed in high quality. The items are placed in order next to each other and lit from the left, which especially highlights the metallic sheen against the dark background. With regards to the specialization in this genre the collaboration between these two artists is revealing whereby
Giovan Battista Recco painted the still life and Guiseppe du Guido the figures, who focused predominantly on figural paintings in his œuvre as for example the famous Saint Jerome, created ca. 1620/40.

Giuseppe du Guido (born ca. 1590), active in Southern Italy and Naples between 1620 and 1640.
