In freier Natur vor einem Baum sitzend eine junge, elgant gekleidete Frau in einem gelben Rock und einer gegürteten hellblauen Bluse mit rosa Schleifen und weitem Dekolleté, das ein neben ihr stehender Putto öffnen will. Vor ihr kniet ein Galan mit weit geöffneten Armen, um ihr seine Aufwartung zu machen. Im Baum hat sich ein älterer Mann versteckt, wohl der Vater der jungen Frau, und hat seine Hände in Abwehrgestus ausgestreckt, um auf die Gefahr der Verführung hinzuweisen. Liebevolle Genremalerei in frischen leuchtenden Farben, wobei besonderer Wert auf die fein herausgearbeitete Stofflichkeit der Kleidung gelegt wurde. (1190166) (18)

GALLANT SCENE WITH A YOUNG COUPLE

A young, elegantly dressed lady is depicted sitting in the open countryside in front of a tree. She is wearing a yellow skirt and belted light blue blouse with revealing neckline with pink ribbons, which a putto standing next to her tries to open. A gallant gentleman is kneeling in front of her with open arms. An older man, probably the father of the young lady, is hiding in the tree and holding his hands out in a gesture of repulsion indicating the dangers of seduction. Tender genre painting with fresh, luminous colours, especially emphasizing the fine material quality of the clothing.
