Der Leichnam Christi auf dem Leichentuch oberhalb des Sarkophags, der an der Vorderfront mit Maßwerk dekoriert ist. Neben den Hauptfiguren der Beweinung: Maria, Johannes Evangelist, Maria Magdalena sowie Josef von Arimathäa, zwei weitere Personen: Eine weibliche Heilige am rechten Bildrand sowie davor eine Gestalt ohne Nimbus, bei der es sich möglicherweise um den Stifter des Gemäldes handelt, in Goldbrokatkleid mit roten Ärmeln. Die Malerei feinpinselig, die farbige Komposition in den Kleidern auf die Komplementärfarben Rot und Grün abgestimmt, auch die Dornenkrone betont grün gehalten. (1191541) (11)

The body of Christ is lying on a shroud on top of a sarcophagus decorated with tracery on the front. The painting depicts the main figures of the lamentation with the Virgin Mary, Saint John the Evangelist, Mary Magdalene and Joseph of Arimathea as well as two further figures, one of a female saint on the right margin of the painting and a figure without a halo in front of her. This could possibly be the donor of the painting shown in gold brocade dress with red sleeves. The painting is executed in fine brushwork, the colour composition of the figures dresses coordinates the complimentary colours red and green, even the crown of thorns is accentuated in a shade of green.
