Bildaufbau nach Vorbild und Bildtradition der von Rubens geschaffenen Gemälde gleichen Inhalts: Ein hochovales Innenbild der Darstellung einer in Landschaft unter einem Baum sitzenden Maria in rotem Kleid mit dem Jesuskind, das sich an den Hals der Mutter schmiegt. Umzogen von einer goldenen Einfassung, umspielt von einem fein gemalten Kranz, gebildet aus Blättern und unterschiedlichsten Blüten, die im Bewusstsein der Entstehungszeit allegorische bzw. symbolische Bedeutung hatten, darunter Rosen, Tulpen, Schachbrettblumen, Ringelblümchen und Kornblumen sowie weitere kleinblütige Zweige, insgesamt auf dunklem Hintergrund. Die Madonnendarstellung zeigt stilistisch eindeutig das Vorbild der Rubens-Malerei. Verso drei Parkettierklötze. (1170082) (12) (11)

Composition and iconography after a painting with the same subject by Peter Paul Rubens. (1577 - 1640). The depiction of the Madonna clearly shows stylistic influences of Rubens. Three parquetting slats on the reverse.
