Die Wirkung der matt leuchtenden Farben wird durch den schwarzen Hintergrund besonders elegant hervorgehoben. Dargestellt ist der Blick aus leicht erhöhtem Standpunkt auf eine, mit rotem Tuch gedeckte Tischplatte. Das Tuch weist Pressfalten auf, darauf im Zentrum eine goldene Tazza mit hohem Schaft, der von Fantasietieren umgeben ist. In der Schale grüne und rote Trauben sowie Blüten und ein weisser Schmetterling. Links eine bemalte Keramikvase mit godroniertem Fuß, darin hochziehender Blumenstrauß mit den unterschiedlichsten Frühlings- und Sommerblumen wie Rosen, Tulpen, Narzissen, Schachbrettblume, Türkenbund und Strauchblüten. Rechts ein niedriger, runder geflochtener Korb mit eingelegten Blüten, davor auf dem Tischtuch liegende Blüten und Blätter. Im Zentrum ein geflochtener Blütenkranz. Auch im Hintergrund, ist etwas verschattet, ein brauner Schmetterling zu erkennen. Die Farbgebung insgesamt vom höchst eleganter Wirkung, der matte Glanz der Fayence-Vase brilliant wiedergegeben. FLOWER AND FRUIT STILL LIFE WITH DECORATIVE VESSELS AND FLORAL WREATH

The soft and luminous colours are elegantly heightened through the black background. Depiction of a set table on a red cloth from a slightly elevated viewpoint. The cloth has pressed creases and, placed at its centre, is a golden tazza with a tall stem surrounded by fantastical animals. The tazza’s bowl holds green and red grapes, flowers and a white butterfly. On the left, a painted ceramic vase with gadrooned foot holding a tall bouquet with most diverse spring and summer flowers such as roses, tulips, carnations, chessboard flower, martagon lily and bush flowers. A low, round weaved basket with flowers on the right with leaves and flowers scattered on the tablecloth in front of it. A floral wreath is depicted at centre. Another, slightly shadowed brown butterfly can be discerned in the background. Overall the colour scheme is highly elegant, the matte lustre of the Faience vase is displayed brilliantly.
