Reiterüberfall auf ein feindliches Zeltlager vor der Silhouette einer Stadt. In Feinmalerei ausgeführt, von links heranstürmende Kavallerie, die auf die Flanke eines feindlichen Zeltlagers anstürmt. Im Vordergrund kämpfende Reiter, dabei ins Licht gesetzt wohl der Kommandant des Angriffs auf einem Pferd zwischen gefallenen Soldaten und am Boden liegenden Pferden, nahe einem Wassertümpel im Vordergrund. Am Horizont über einen Fluss führende Steinbrücke, vor im Licht stehenden Türmen und Häusern einer Stadt.
Bei der Darstellung handelt es sich möglicherweise um eine der Schlachten der Türkenkriege im ersten Viertel des 18. Jahrhunderts bei Budapest oder Zagreb mit den Feldherrn Prinz Eugen (1663-1736) oder Kurfürst Max Emmanuel (1662-1726). Insofern sicherlich Erinnerungsdokumentation an eine stattgefundene Schlacht. Fine painting of a mounted attack on an enemy camp against the silhouette of a city in the background. The scene possibly illustrates one of the battles of the Turkish Wars in the first quarter of the 18th century near Budapest or Zagreb with General Prince Eugene of Savoy (1663 - 1736) or Maximilian II Emmanuel, Elector of Bavaria (1662 - 1726). In this respect this painting was surely created as a commemorative record of a recent battle.
