Jean-François Millet,
1814 Gruchy – 1875 Barbizon

Ländlicher Hauseingang, zu dem zwei Stufen hinaufführen, auf und an welchen zwei Kinder stehen, eine Frau sich über das eine Kind beugend. Ein Spaten an der in flottem Duktus wiedergegebenen Hauswand lehnend und deren Existenz somit unterstreichend. Zur Beschreibung nicht geöffnet.

Alle aufgeführten Vergleichsstücke befinden sich in öffentlichen Sammlungen, wie etwa im Louvre, Paris Inventarnr. R.F. 23599, R.F. 1441 sowie im Museum der Schönen Künste, Budapest. Aufgrund dieser Vergleichsstücke scheint uns eine Zuweisung an den genannten Künstler unter Annahme der Echtheit der Signatur gerechtfertigt. (1251343) (13)
