Seltener kantonesischer Kabinetttisch

Gesockelter Schaukoffer von hoher Qualität. Gestell mit Füßen in gestauchter Tropfenform in schlanke Beine und rechteckige Zarge übergehend. Diese und die Beine mit kastanienbraunem Fond gefasst und mit weißen Kartuschen versehen, welche als Grundlage dienen für lockere exotische Blütenstaffage. Der Koffer von rechteckiger Form mit Scharnierdeckel und Schloss mit Schlossschild in Schmetterlingsform mit ziselierten Flügeln. Seitlich zwei Tragehenkel. Allseits mit rechteckigen elfenbeingefüllten Kartuschen meist mit Blütendekor. Deckel außen mit graviertem Nephritplättchen, inwandig tapeziert bzw. mit Inkrustationen eine Liebesszene in einer abstrahierten Gartenanlage darstellend in einer Art Pietra-Dura-Technik, für welche Guangzhou (Kanton) bekannt war. Die dargestellten Pflanzen wie Bambus und Prunus deuten auf Glück hin. Ein Schlüssel vorhanden. Min. erg.

Pedestal: 68 x 45 x 36 cm.
Canton, ca. 1680/ 1720.

Show casket on base of high quality. Pedestal with feet in the shape of squeezed drop shape on slender legs with rectangular apron. Decorated all around with rectangular ivory-filled cartouches, outside lid with engraved nephrite panel, lined on inside and incrustation of a love scene in an abstract garden in a type of pietra dura technique, renowned for the canton of Guangzhou. The depicted plants of bamboo and blackthorn are considered as symbols of luck. With one key. Minor replacements.
