Exemplarische Komposition, die wie die breiten Binnenkonturen zeigen, den Glasfensterentwürfen nahe steht, die Hölzel für die Pelikan-Werke geschaffen hatte.
Verso eigenhändige Widmung des Künstlers in Blei: "Liebe verehrte, gnädige Frau/ lassen sich mich Ihnen aufs liebste/ herzlichste zum Tode Ihres verehrten Vaters kondulieren./ Ich war ein wenig leidend, darum erhalten Sie erst heute diese Zeilen/ Ihr sehr Ergebener".
