Überlebensgroße Büste in weißem Carrara-Marmor. Dargestellt ist ein bärtiger Mann in landesüblichem, italienischem Gewand mit Weste unter der Jacke sowie einem durch einen Strick gebundenen Tuch, wie dies die „Briganten“ genannten Freiheitskämpfer Italiens gelegentlich trugen. Die Physiognomie lässt auch an ein Portrait des Freiheitshelden Giuseppe Garibaldi (1807 - 1882) denken. Bildhauerausführung in hoher, meisterlicher Qualität, Haltung und Gesichtszüge psychologisch gut erfasst. (8605257)
