Auf quadratischer Plinthe stehende Ente, mit dem Schnabel im Halsbereich das Gefieder richtend. Dunkelbraune Patina.
Auf der oberen Rückseite der Plinthe sign. “A. Gaul“.

Anmerkung:
Es handelt sich um den Ententypus des Berliner Entenbrunnens in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. Dieser Entenbrunnen war ein Geschenk des ehrenamtlichen Charlottenburger Stadtrats Max Cassirer, einem Onkel von August Gauls Galeristen Paul Cassirer und wurde wegen seiner Beliebtheit auch “Streichelbrunnen“ genannt.
