Ein zum Überfluss gefüllter Früchtekorb lädt den Betrachter zum Zugreifen ein. Es wird ihm eine bunt zusammengestellte Obstpalette - Äpfel, Birnen, Pfirsiche - angeboten. Turmartig sind die Früchte in einem mit einer hellblauen Serviette ausgelegten Flechtkorb arrangiert. Das grüne Blatt in Mitten dieses Obstarrangements stellt den Bezug zur Natur her. Das Stilleben ist auf einem braunen, nur fragmentarisch erkennbaren Tisch angeordnet, hinterfangen von einem grün-blauen Hintergrund.

Anmerkung:
Nach Robert Purrmann ist das Gemälde in Montagnola/Tessin 1948 entstanden.
