VENUS UND BACCHUS MIT DEM AMORKNABEN Mythologisch-allegorische Szenerie mit noch nicht gedeutetem, verrätselten, allegorischen Inhalt. Die beiden Götter auf einer Terrasse oberhalb eines Meerbusens stehend, rechts ein Jüngling, auf den das Amorknäblein mit Pfeil und Bogen zielt, im Hintergrund die untergehende Sonne sowie zwei geflügelte Engelsköpfe in den Wolken. Venus mit einem goldenen Apfel (den ihr Paris übergeben hat). Bacchus hält einen Weinpokal mit Trauben in die Höhe. Oben rundbogig geschlossen mit seitlichem Einzug. Öl/Lwd. 107 x 75 cm. (540421)
