Beigegeben ein Gutachten von Denise Bazetoux vom 14. Juni 2017.

Provenienz:
Privatsammlung.

Anmerkung:
(1250701) (13)

LA FAMILLE LEBASQUE À LA SORTIE D'UN VILLAGE MÉDITERRANÉEN, CA. 1914Oil on canvas.
73 x 92 cm.
Signed lower right.
In profiled, parcel-gilt frame.

An expert’s report by Denise Bazetoux dated 14 June 2017 is enclosed.

The artist’s wife Catherine or his eldest daughter Marthe and his children Pierre and Hélène are depicted resting in the shadows of tall slender trees. A brightly lit path is leading out of the picture on the right and directs the gaze onto the painting’s middle ground with smaller, blurred buildings next to shrubs and trees in pastel shades. As is often the case in his paintings, Lebasque creates a harmonious uniformity between the depiction of his family and the surrounding nature. Label from Art Salon Abel, Cologne on the reverse.

Provenance:
Private collection.

Notes:
The painting on offer for sale in this lot will be included in the catalogue raisonné by Denise Bazetoux, which is currently being prepared.

This object has been individually compared to the information in the Art Loss Register data bank and is not registered there as stolen or missing.
