Schwarzgrundige rechteckige Platte mit zwei umlaufenden, goldenen Randbändern. Im zentralen Mittelfeld das bekrönte bayerische Wappen und zweifach das Monogramm „ME“, die Initialen von Maximilian I und seiner Frau Elisabeth von Lothringen. Das Mittelfeld ist umgeben von vier großen und acht kleineren Segmentfeldern aus dunkelblauem Lapislazuli. Zwischen diesen Feldern werden zahlreiche Blumen wie Tulpen, Schneeglöckchen und Kaiserkrone gezeigt mit sehr feinen Einlegearbeiten, unter Verwendung verschiedenartiger und farbiger Marmor- und Steinarten wie Lapislazuli, Jade, Onyx und Achat.
