In einer bäuerlichen Stube mit Fenster sitzen am Tisch zwei Männer in Tracht, jeweils eine Pfeife rauchend. Ihnen zur Seite sitzt ein Dirndl mit Strickzeug, das einen der Männer liebevoll anblickt. Hinter der jungen Frau fällt der Blick durch ein Fenster in eine bergige Landschaft mit einem Dorf und einer Kirche.
