Beigegeben ein Schreiben von Prof. Giancarlo Sestieri, Rom, vom 21. Juli 2019, der auf den Maler verweist, aufgrund dessen die Zuschreibung erfolgte (in Kopie vorliegend).

Das erste Gemälde zeigt die bekannte Rialto-Brücke, flankiert rechts und links, am Ufer des Canal Grande, von den hohen fensterreichen Häusern der Stadt. Auf dem belebten Canal Grande einige Gondeln und mehrere, am Ufer ankernde Boote mit zahlreichen Staffagefiguren, die auch an der Uferpromenade zu finden sind. Das zweite Gemälde zeigt die Ponti di Tre Archi, die bekannte Brücke, die im Sestiere Cannaregio liegt und das Fondamenta Cannaregio mit dem Fondamenta San Giobbe verbindet. Vom Vordergrund eine breite Promenade über Treppen hin zu der im Sonnenlicht erstrahlenden, dreibogigen Steinbrücke. Auf dem Wasser wieder zahlreiche Gondeln zu sehen, reiche Figurenstaffage belebt das Bild. Beide Veduten mit vielen Details unter hohem blau-grauen Horizont, in teils raschem Pinselduktus. Das first painting shows the famous Rialto bridge. The second painting shows the die Ponti dei Tre Archi. Both vedute with many details beneath high blue-grey horizon in partially quick brushwork.
