Blick auf eine hoch im Gebirge liegende Almwiese mit drei Hütten, in denen bereits ein Lichtschein zu erkennen ist. Nebel und Wolken umspielen das rechte Gebirgsmassiv. Auf der linken Bildseite fällt der Blick auf ein weiteres, teils schneebedecktes Gebirgsmassiv und am unteren Rand auf der Wiese ein Wegekreuz. Zwei hohe Tannen ragen in der Mitte des Bildes in den hohen Himmel, an dem die letzten malerischen Lichtstrahlen in roter und gelber Farbigkeit der untergehenden Sonne zu erkennen sind. Stimmungsvolle, teils romantisch wirkende Malerei in zurückhaltender Farbigkeit. (1200801) (18)
