Conrad Martens,
1801 England – 1878 Sydney
Geboren in England, tätig in Sydney. Der Maler bereiste als Begleiter von Charles Darwin (1809 - 1882) Südamerika und 1836 den größten Teil Australiens. Er ließ sich in Sydney nieder. Arbeiten seiner Hand in den Museen Melbourne und Sydney sowie im Britischen Museum in London, darunter Ansichten aus Südamerika und Australien. ENGLISCHE KOLONIALVILLA Mischtechnik auf Karton.
Sichtmaß: 44 x 62 cm.
Rechts unten signiert und datiert "1839".
