1739 wurden die beiden steigenden Pferde, von unbekleideten Pferdeführern gehalten, großformatig in Stein im Garten des Château de Marly aufgestellt. 1743 präsentierte der französische König die Modelle im Hof des Louvre, 1745 wurden die Marmorfiguren aufgestellt; 1749 wieder nach Paris gebracht, um auf Initiative des Malers Davide auf der Champs Élysee aufgestellt zu werden. Die vorliegenden verkleinerten Wiedergaben in Bronze sind fein ausgeführt mit dunkler Patina auf dunkelrote rechteckige Marmorsockelbasen gestellt mit umlaufendem vergoldeten Profil. (11207012) (11)
