Blick in das Mittelschiff einer dreischiffigen Basilika mit Kreuzrippengewölbe, das Licht fällt vom Fenster des Obergadens auf die gegenüberliegenden Kanzelpfeiler. Das Brüstungstuch der Kanzel hat Spitzweg als leuchtend roten Effektpunkt hervorgehoben. Virtuoser Pinselduktus. (1120662) (11)

View of the nave of a three-aisled basilica with rib vault with light from the overstory windows falling on the pulpit pillar on the opposite side. Spitzweg has highlighted the cloth draped around the pulpit's balustrade as a luminous red eye catcher. Painted in virtuoso brushstrokes.
