A pair of winged Weilheimer putti, Hans Degler (1565 - 1635), attributed
Height: ca. 44 cm.

Carved and polychrome wood and conceived as counterparts, each in floating posture. The right and left leg of each putto respectively is bent, while their heads are tilted sideways. They are each wearing a loincloth, gilded over red bole base paint; the wings are also gilded. Both putti have carved curly hair with a forelock. Similar carved sculptures of children dating ca. 1620 are held at the Stadtmuseum Weilheim.
The flesh tones almost entirely preserved and in very good condition.
