Silber, gegossen, gewalzt, geschnitten, über guillochiertem Grund emailliert, Niello-Dekor. Über vier Akanthusfüßen kastenförmiger Korpus mit reichem Silber-Niellodekor auf blauem Grund. Bodenseitiger Aufziehmechanismus und seitlicher herauszuziehender Stift. Mittige ovale Scharnieröffnung mit flötendem Putto und darunterliegendem gesägtem Grund und sich bewegendem Singvogel. Ein Auge des Vogels fehlend. Ein Schlüssel. In wohl original stofftapezierten Kästchen. (1070086) (13)

St Petersburg, 1908 – 1926.

Silver; cast, rolled, cut, enamelled over guilloche ground and niello decoration. Chest-shaped box on four acanthus leaf feet decorated with niello on blue background. Winding mechanism on base and pull-out lever pin at the side. Hinged oval cover opening at centre decorated with putto playing the flute and a song bird moving on top of an open-work base. One of the bird's eyes is missing. With one key. The cloth-lined case probably original.
