Betont hochformatig und mehrfigurig komponiert in der Weise, dass ein erhöhter Betrachterstandpunkt eingenommen wird, der die dahinterstehenden Figuren in Staffelung nach oben wiedergibt. Das auf einem Tuch liegende Kind im unteren Zentrum des Bildes flankiert von zwei größeren geflügelten Engelsfiguren. Maria und Josef mittig rechts weiter oben. Von links oben sind die Hirten herbeigetreten. Farbkompositionell hat der Maler die Darstellung auf den Rot-Grün-Farbwert abgestimmt, mit dem starken Gelb im Kleid eines Hirten als komplementäre Aufhellung. Im Hintergrund Esel an der Krippe sowie ein Hirte mit seinen Schafen in der oberen Bildecke. (1061055) (11)
