Halbbildnis nach links, der Heilige mit nackter Schulter, darüber ein Fellmantel sowie ein rotes Tuch, nachdenklicher Blick, mit gesenktem Haupt. Der Zeigefinger seiner rechten Hand weist nach rechts, sinngemäß das Leiden Christi voraussehend. Der schmale Kreuzstab mit Fahnenaufschrift "Ecce agnus dei".
Anmerkung:
Die Eichenholztafel weist möglicherweise auf eine Entstehung in Frankreich hin. Das Bild ist stilistisch vergleichbar mit der Pietà Correggios von 1512 im Museo Civico in Correggio. (104175104) (11)

Inscription probably of significant age: "Corre'ge".
Unframed.
Notes:
The oak panel possibly indicates the painting was executed in France.
The painting's style is comparable to a Pietà by Correggio from 1512 held at the Museo Civico in Correggio.
