Romantische Vedute von Riva degli Schiavoni, einer der bedeuteten Ansichten der Dogenstadt bei Sonnenuntergang. Die Sonnenstrahlen werden rötlicher und verfärben die dünnen Wolken im Himmel. Auf der rechten Seite der Komposition steht der Dogenpalast, ebenfalls von dem rötlichen Abendlicht beleuchtet, mit der helleren Ponte di Paglia, diese führt Richtung Molo San Marco.
