Vor einer angedeuteten Landschaft eine weibliche allegorische Gestalt den Stab des Asklepios haltend, hinter ihr eine ihm heilige Eule sowie ein Pfau, die Gestalt selbst im Schwanenwagen (auf Apollon, Vater des Asklepios verweisend) sitzend.
Der Künstler erlernte sein Handwerk in Flandern, vermutlich in der Werkstatt von Abraham Janssens, ehe er 1621 nach Rom zog. Einige Jahre später, um 1630, ging er nach Bologna und war in der Werkstatt von Guido Reni Guido Reni (1575-1642) beschäftigt. (1420831) (13)
