Unter niedrigem Horizont im Uferbereich eines Meeres mit auslaufenden Wellen im flachen Wasser liegend, eine aus ihrem Gehäuse herausragende weibliche Schnecke mit Fühlern, die von einer hinter ihr liegenden männlichen Schnecke mit Umarmung und Küssen bedrängt wird. Über dem Wasser einige fliegende Möwen. Malerei in zurückhaltender weicher Farbgebung. Für das Werk des bekannten Künstlers eher ungewöhnliche humorige Darstellung, von denen sich wenige vergleichbare im Werksverzeichnis und selten auf dem Kunstmarkt finden lassen.
