John Guida,
1897 Neapel – 1965 Rom

Eleganter Art Déco-Entwurf des italo-amerikanischen Designers, der stilistisch von den französischen Couturiers beeinflusst wurde. John Guida war für die bedeutenden Modehäuser Coen, Rom und Sanet in Turin tätig, darüber hinaus publizierte er seine Designs in den Zeitschriften „La Donna“ und „Domine“. Sein Schaffen wurde zuletzt 1982 im Palazzo Reale, Mailand in der Ausstellung „Anni Trenta. Arte e Cultura in Italia“ sowie 2012 in der Fondazione Ratti di Como gezeigt.

An elegant design of the Anglo-American designer John Guida who was influenced stylistically by French couturiers. He worked for renowned fashion houses such as Coen, Rome and Sanet in Turin. Further, he published his designs in the journals “La Donna” and “Domine”. His oeuvre was shown at Palazzo Reale, Milan in the exhibition “Anni Trenta - Arte e Cultura in Italia” in 1982 as well as in 2012 at Fondazione Ratti di Como.
