Italienischer Bildhauer des 19. Jahrhunderts

Frontale Darstellung eines adligen Herren aus weißem Marmor, auf rundem taillierten Marmorsockel. Dem Blick neigt sich leicht nach seiner linken Seite, Haare, Bart und Hautfalten sind naturgetreu und detailreich wiedergegeben. Qualitätvolle Bildhauerarbeit in feiner Ausführung.

Anmerkung:
Dargestellt ist ein Herr, der als Antonio Cepparelli (1552-1622) identifiziert werden könnte. Haare, Bart, Gewand und Weste stimmen mit den beiden Darstellungen überein, die Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1598-1680) für die Basilika San Giovanni Battista dei Fiorentini in Rom schuf. (1421167) (1) (19)

The gentleman could be identified as Antonio Cepparelli (1552 – 1622). His hair, beard, robe, and waistcoat match the two depictions created by Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1598 – 1680) for the Basilica of San Giovanni Battista dei Fiorentini in Rome.
