Further information on this artwork

(1071122) (11)

CHURCH INTERIOR WITH FIGURE STAFFAGE

Oil on oak panel. Parquetted.
67 x 84 cm.

View towards the altar from the transept to the west wall of a three-aisled church with groin vaults and side aisle arcades supported by plain clustered columns. The Renaissance-style architecture still has Gothic tracery windows, which suggests that the painting originates from England. Several groups of people in contemporary clothing are depicted in the nave with a number of small dogs in between.
