Anbei eine in Kopie vorliegende Expertise von Marie Artemoff Testa vom 13. Februar 2006.

Reliefierte Holzplatte mit partiell vergoldeter Darstellung einer Amazone, welche neben einem steigenden Pferd steht. Ein ähnliches Relief von ca. 1942 wurde am 16.10.2018 in Paris bei Artcurial angeboten (Lot 42). Randbeschädigungen, kleinere Fassungsverluste. 
Der 1892 in Russland geborene Künstler ließ sich 1913 in Paris nieder und rezipierte Ossip Zadkine (1890-1967), Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), Chaïm Soutine (1894-1943), Juan Gris (1887-1927) und Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920). Im Zuge des Ersten Weltkriegs kehrte er nach Russland zurück, wandte sich jedoch 1922 wieder nach Paris, wo er besonders Reliefbilder im Art déco-Stil fertigte. 1928 erlangte er eine Médaille d’or im Salon des artistes décorateurs für seine „Chasse aux sangliers“. (1221211) (13)

Wooden relief with parcel-gilt depiction of an Amazon next to a rearing horse. A similar relief dating ca. 1942 was offered for sale on 16 October 2018 in Paris at Artcurial (lot 42). Damages to the frame, with minor loss to the polychromy.
