Blick in eine Oase, deren flaches Wasser sich in der linken Bildhälfte ausbreitet. Durch das Wasser reiten zwei Araber auf Kamelen. Rechts zieht eine Mauer in die Tiefe. Hinter ihr schießt eine üppige Vegetation mit Palmen und Kakteen in den Himmel. Geschickt verwendet der Künstler die Tonalität des Papiers, um eine warme Wüstenatmosphäre zu erzeugen.
