Friedvoller Bodhisattva des tibetischen Buddhismus in der Meditationshaltung auf dem Lotosthron sitzend (Dhyanasana), die rechte Hand zeigt in der Haltung der Wunschgewährung (Varadamudra) nach unten, während die Linke zur Argumentation (Vitarkamudra) erhoben ist. Mit Halbedelsteinen geschmückt und mit großzügigen Kupfer- und Silbereinlegearbeiten verziert (Hände, Füße, Gesicht und Körperschmuck). Das Gesicht zeigt einen gelassenen Ausdruck, erhobene Augenbrauen über halb geschlossene Augen, verlängerte Ohrläppchen kreis förmig verziert. Die Bodenplatte ist verschlossen. (10420611) (10)
Fine Gilt-Bronze Figure of Sita Tara (white Tara)
Height: 27.0 cm.
West Tibet, Ladakh Area, 15th century.
White Tara, seated Dhyanasana on a lotus throne. The right hand is lowered in the gesture of charity (varamudra), while the left hand is risen for discussion (vitarkamudra). Extensively decorated with semi-precious stones and with generous copper and silver inlays (hands, feet, face and ornamentation). The bottom plate is closed.
