Der Künstler schuf ein umfangreiches Werk. Er wurde von einer Vielzahl von Stilrichtungen beeinflußt, darunter Impressionismus, Fauvismus, Kubismus und der Abstraktion. 1925 begann er abstrakt zu arbeiten.
