Unter hohem hellblauem Himmel auf der linken Seite in Teilansicht der prachtvolle, größtenteils verschattete Bau des Mailänder Domes. Minutiös herausgearbeitet die Außenfassade mit den fialengekrönten Strebepfeilern, den hohen Fenstern und sie flankierenden Skulpturen. Auf dem sonnenbeschienenen Platz vor und seitlich des Domes, umrahmt im Hintergrund und seitlich rechts von Häusern mit runtergelassenen Markisen, zwei Pferdekutschen, ein Reiter und zahlreiche spazierende Figuren in Kleidung des Biedermeier. Hervorragende Malerei in harmonischer Farbgebung, die Stimmung eines belebten Sommertages in der Stadt vermittelnd. (1231064) (2) (18)
