Eine junge, orientalische Frau lehnt an einer Hauswand im Schatten und spielt versonnen vor sich Flöte hin. Mit dem Fötenspiel bezirzt sie seine große, grüne Schlange, die sich vor ihr aufbäumt. Die Szene trägt sich im kühlenden Schatten einer Gasse zu, im Hintergrund zeigt sich die Hitze des Tages in den gleißend hell wiedergegebenen Fassaden der orientalischen Stadt. (9516813)
