Internship
Art history students
The internship covers the following areas of responsibility:
- Assistance in the art object reception department
- Research on individual objects
- Collaboration on artwork description
- Auction preparation and set-up, involvement in the handling process
Requirements:
An internship period of at least three months should be planned in order to be able to play a part in all these procedures. The internship can only be completed on a full-time basis. The daily working hours are from 9 am to 5:30 pm. This includes the preliminary viewing period for the auction and auction Saturdays.
Written and spoken English; knowledge of Italian or French is desirable, IT experience with Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet. Specialized knowledge in specific art fields is advantageous.
The internship carries a monthly remuneration of € 500.- gross (with income tax card).
Applicants will be interviewed for approximately 20 minutes on their knowledge of various specialized areas based on a catalogue of questions. These questions cover the minimum requirements for the position to ascertain whether the applicant has a sound basis for a three-month internship.
