JUDITH AND HOLOFERNES Oil on canvas.
80 x 130 cm.
The large format painting depicts nearly life size figures. The pronounced chiaroscuro shows the influence of Caravaggio (1570/71-1610). The contours are painted in sfumato technique and the restrained chromaticity indicates the influence of Antiveduto Grammatica (1571-1626) and works by Oratio Gentilesci.
