Nussholz, Marketerien in verschiedenen, schönen, teils kontrastrierenden Furnierhölzern. Eisenbeschläge geätzt und teilweise vergoldet. Rechteckiger zweitüriger Korpus mit aufklappbarem Aufsatz, dem zwei aufschiebbare Geheimfächer eingefügt sind. Inneneinrichtung in architektonischem Aufbau mit Säulen, Giebeln und Architraven, die reizvoll miteinander kombiniert sind sowie zahlreichen Schüben. Die Außenseiten umlaufend mit Jagdszenen und architektonischen Darstellungen. Vier teils jüngere Schlüssel vorhanden. Erg.
Provenienz:
Sammlung Wilhelm Ofenheim von Ponteuxin (1860-1932). Wiener Erdölindustrieller mit Wohnsitz im Ofenheim Palais an der Ringstraße und mit Schloss in ehemals mährischem Jaispitz. Der Akademische Senat beschloss in seiner Sitzung am 24. März 1922 die Verleihung des Ehrenzeichens der Universität Wien an Wilhelm Ofenheim.
Durch Vererbung in Wiener Familienbesitz.
